Chris is President & Broker of Compass Commercial Realty and is responsible for all real estate functions including leasing, brokerage and management.

Working in the real estate industry since 1992, his experience has been gained through the management, brokerage and leasing of office/retail, multi-residential and industrial properties for both a regional property management firm and a national property management firm. Prior to his appointment as President of Compass, Chris served as Vice President and General Manager of Compass, General Manager with Oxford Atlantic and Property Manager with Fencorp Properties.

Chris has developed an extensive knowledge of the Atlantic Canadian market and co-ordinates the marketing efforts of Compass. Chris is a graduate of Saint Mary's University with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Outside of work, Chris volunteers his time as a member of the Executive Leadership Committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Lite the Night Event held annually in Halifax. Chris also part of the coaching staff for the Dartmouth High School Boys Hockey Team.

Paul has worked in commercial real estate since 1989 and is responsible for the Property Management function at Compass. He joined Compass in 2007 after working with the Kimberly Lloyd Development (KLD) group of companies for 8 years.

Paul was General Manager at KLD and was responsible for the administration of 3rd party contracts for Clarke Transport's real estate portfolio across Canada; for KLD's local Commercial Portfolio; and for the P-3 school division, Scotia Learning Centres, Paul was responsible for all aspects of management of 14 P-3 school projects in N.B. and N.S. Prior to KLD, Paul held the position of General Manager with Greenwood Lane Property Management, since the company's inception of the Property Management division until June 1999.

Paul obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a dual major in accounting and finance, from Saint Mary’s University in 1985. Paul brings a varied range of property management skills and expertise to Compass and prides himself on having a strong accounting background, a hands-on approach to property management and a desire to provide professional service to his clients and tenants.

John Campbell, Project Management

John serves as Project Manager for Compass Commercial Realty with his main duties being the organization, pricing and control of leasehold improvement and capital projects. Within this scope of work, John also serves as liaison between tenants and contractors, while keeping the interests of the landlord front of mind.

John joined Compass Commercial Realty in September of 2012 after several years in Commercial Finance with CIBC and GE Capital. With a strong background in finance, a personal interest in construction and an appreciation for detail and time management; John has made a smooth transition into the role of Project Manager.

John has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University as well as a Steam and Pipefitting Certificate from NSCC. John’s well balanced background of education, work experience and personal interests, lends itself to a strong and practical approach to project management.

Cory Richardson, Property Manager, Nova Scotia

Cory is a licensed real estate salesperson and has worked in the property management field since 2000 with Compass Commercial Realty.  During this time he has been responsible for the maintenance, day-to-day operations and reporting for a portfolio of properties consisting of approximately 500 apartment units and approximately 250,000 s.f. of office space.

Cory's primary role is the Residential Property Management function at Compass.   Cory uses a "hands-on" approach to maintain high occupancy and low accounts receivable levels in his managed portfolio.  Cory maintains a good rapport with his on-site staff and is responsive to the needs of his tenants.

Anne Marie is a licensed real estate salesperson and has worked in commercial real estate for over 25 years.   During that period she has become proficient in all aspects of real estate leasing, management, sales and office administration.  

Prior to joining Compass in 2001, Anne Marie held various corporate positions with The Hardman Group and Ryco Atlantic/Realty, both full service real estate development, leasing and management firms.  Her experience with both companies encompassed various aspects of corporate administration and accounting, human resources management and real estate sales/leasing.

Anne Marie obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University in the early '80's.

Jonathan joined Compass in 2018 as Manager of Leasing & Sales Brokerage.  Throughout his sales and marketing career over the past decade, Jonathan has established relationships with a number of Compass’ tenants and has been able to utilize his skills to succeed in his role at Compass.

Jonathan comes from a background in the residential and commercial automation/security sector, and was previously the General Manager at Glubes AVU, a long established business in Atlantic Canada, that specialized in Custom Integration. Jonathan’s move to Compass was a natural transition given his background in construction and project management.

Josh’s real estate career spans over twenty years. He gained extensive experience in the management and operations of all real estate asset types as Senior Property Manager for Homburg Canada Inc. and the Director of Property Management for Novacorp Properties Limited. He has managed properties throughout Atlantic Canada, in Montreal, and Alberta, working on behalf of large institutional clients and for individual owners.

He is responsible for providing support for day to day operations, tenant relations, administrative matters and is experienced in the coordination and supervision of tenant fit up construction and capital revitalization projects.
Josh is a licensed real estate salesperson and has represented Landlords and third-party clients in lease negotiations as well as facilitating property acquisitions and dispositions.

Kendal Carter, Controller

Kendal is the Controller of Compass Commercial Realty and is responsible for the overall accounting and financial reporting functions within the company.  Kendal gained her real estate knowledge working for Oxford Properties, where she held the position of Property Accountant, and, more recently, with Summit REIT, where she was a Senior Financial Accountant.  Kendal has many years experience in the real estate industry and over that time has gained invaluable real estate familiarity.

Kendal has a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in Montreal and earned her Certified General Accountant's (CGA) designation in 2004.

Bob is responsible for the company's property management and brokerage business in Ontario.  Bob has brokered/co-brokered 18 commercial property sales since 2005 and is the Broker of Record for Compass in Ontario.

From 2001 – 2002, Bob was the VP Business Development for Riocan REIT and from 1994 – 2001 Bob worked for Oxford Properties where he held management and leasing positions, including General Manager.  Bob has also worked for a national retailer, a shopping centre developer and as a leasing consultant.

Nicole joined Compass in 2017 and works with Bob Heike to manage the portfolio in Ontario.

Prior to joining Compass, Nicole worked at Bentall Kennedy for 9 years, managing one of their landmark properties for RBC and RBC divisions, where she gained most of her real estate experience in commercial property management. Nicole also worked for GE Real Estate, where she acquired her industrial management skills.

Currently, Nicole is enrolled in the Certified Property Manager program and is working toward a CPM designation.

Patricia joined Compass with many years of property management experience in the retail, industrial and office sectors. Heading up our newly acquired properties in Ottawa and Quebec from her Montreal office, Patricia’s bilingual aptitude and versatile skills will be vital for this role.

Patricia’s career began with First Capital, where she progressed into a management role overseeing 1M square feet and 18 properties and she performed all aspects of property management. In 2017, Patricia was recruited by Riocan to manage a mixed-use retail and office portfolio which included government tenancies.

Ian joined Compass Commercial Realty as Property Manger in August 2009 for the newly acquired Moncton Portfolio.  Since that time, the Moncton Portfolio has expanded into several new markets throughout New Brunswick and Price Edward Island - totalling over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of rentable office and retail space.  Ian was promoted to Regional Manager in 2015.

Ian graduated from Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario, with a Diploma in Resort and Hotel Administration in 1989 and received his "Certified Hospitality Supervisor Designation" from the American Hotel & Motel Association in 1995.

Ian has over 17 years of Operational Management experience specializing in:  Tenant Relations, Fiscal Management, Facility/Building Management, Asset Protection, Human Resources and Health Safety.

Ian's educational background, diverse management experience, hands on approach to achieving results and a willingness to learn makes him well suited for this challenging and growing market.

Ron joined Compass’ Moncton office in 2014 as a Property Manager to assist with the growing New Brunswick portfolio and is responsible for managing commercial properties across New Brunswick.

Seeking a change after a 15-year career in IT and related fields, Ron made the move to property management using the skills and experience obtained in previous roles in IT and Operations Management.

Ron obtained a BA from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and a Computer Engineering Technology diploma from the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC).
